Parker Alight At PF
Vital Motorsport Junior Max driver Josh Parker was simply alight at the PF February race meeting.
After leading the January Final and unfortunately finishing in 3rd position, Josh knew he had it all to do at February race meeting. After starting from a lowly grid position of 23rd in the first heat, a blistering start a superb race pace saw Josh finish in 7th position after 7 laps. Unfortunately an incident which led to a DNF in the 2nd heat saw Josh demoted to the B Final and a grid starting postion from the 3rd row. By the end of the 1st lap Josh placed himself at the front and simply drove away from the pack finishing with over the length of the straight in front of the tailing pack.
The final would see Josh start from a low 29th grid position. Team talks before the final was simply "go and show your worth out there" and Josh did just that......laping faster than any other competitor lap on lap and whilst stuck in traffic dicing for track position would see Josh propel up from his starting position to 7th place by the last lap, unfortunately a slight mistake on the last corner, by simply going in far to hard would see him drop to 8th but by this time he had set the whole grand stand alight with his masterful over taking skills.
After the race, Josh commented "that was one of the best races I have competed in, the setup and engine combination was just right for the changing conditions" and the lap times proved this case. Josh was a mere 5 hundredths of a second from setting the fastest lap and whilst in traffic every lap one wonders what could have been in this race.....
Vital Motorsport and their Junior Max Driver Josh Parker look forward to their next outing which will be at the PF March Race Meeting
